  • Driver attitudes

  • Traffic signs and regulations

  • Effects of alcohol, drugs and fatigue

  • Safety and environmental aspects

The test is conducted on a touch screen computer and the pass mark is 43 out of 50. You are allowed 57 minutes to complete the 50 questions.

Please note that the sample tests below only contain 35 questions in each.

Test your knowledge with one of the practice tests below

HAZARD PERCEPTION

This is a computer based test test of your observation skills and your ability to recognise potential and developing hazards early.

The test involves watching fourteen separate video clips and correctly identifying developing hazards. Thirteen of the clips have one developing hazard and one clip has two. The maximum score for each clip is 5 therefore the maximum score is 75. To pass you must score at least 44.

Both of these tests must be passed at the same sitting. You can not book a practical driving test until you are successful in the the Theory & Hazard Perception.
